Overseas, Mr Muhammad Azimuddin was the Country Risk Manager & Corporate Bank Head and Corporate Finance Head (Maghreb Region) for Citigroup based in Morocco. Before returning to Pakistan he was financial advisor to the Chairman of Amhal Group, one of the largest family owned conglomerates in Morocco.
During the course of his previous assignments in Pakistan he was also member of the working group of the Commission on Deregulation of the Government of Pakistan, member of the Committee on Securitization of the SECP which drafted the Securitization regulations. He also originated and structured a number of landmark transactions which were first of their kind in the market, including, PTCL Securitization (Euromoney's Emerging Market Deal of the Year), Workers' Remittances Securitization, PIA Collateralization and Daewoo Motorway Collateralization.
Azimuddin holds BSc and MBA degrees from the University of Karachi. He has also attended various international courses and Seminars and Conferences on Islamic Banking, Marketing Derivative Ideas, Senior Risk Seminar, Quality Management, Emerging Market Customer Franchise, Valuation and Restructuring, International Cash Management, Senior Management Seminar, Corporate Finance & Risk Management, Advance Business Finance, Management of People and Change, Selling to Corporate Customers and Practical Business Finance.
He is fully conversant with Corporate and Banking laws and practices. He is also fluent in French and has working knowledge of Arabic, Persian and Portuguese.-PR
